Is Your Online Reputation Healthy?
This is a wellness checkup on your dealership’s online reputation.
Today, customers not only want to see that you have the vehicle they want, but that you also are the best dealership to purchase from in their area. They rely on review sites to help them make that decision.
Have you checked your ratings recently?
This means that review sites like DealerRater, Google, Yelp and even Facebook can either help or hinder you from getting more business. The healthy average rating for dealerships is an
overall rating of 4.4 on any review site.
Here are some tips to help you to maintain a healthy rating across all review sites:
✅ Make sure all reviews are responded to within 24-48 hours of them being posted.
This ensures that you are in the know of what is happening. This allows you to take care of issues as soon as possible and shows potential customers that you care.
✅ For negative reviews, give the customer a direct way to call or email someone within the dealership.
Take the conversation offline. You do not want to start a personal conversation on a review site. Upset customers also do not want to ask an operator to connect them, they want to be able to directly contact you.
✅ For positive reviews, thank the reviewer personally and let them know you appreciate their business.
A simple thank you goes a long way. This is a great opportunity to remind customer who had a great buying experience with you to also utilize your service team.
